Why one timezone has many sunrise times
IST is the same civil time across India. Sunrise is tied to the sky above a particular place, so latitude, longitude and season still change the local daylight schedule. A shared clock does not make Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata share a sunrise.
The seven-day table shows the selected city’s changing schedule. Rahu and Gulika are traditional divisions of that calculated daylight, rather than fixed national intervals.
