Dual-time watches: check the half-hour first

India uses UTC+05:30. A second time display must handle that half-hour correctly if you want India and another city on one watch.

The feature that matters for India

“GMT”, “dual time” and “world time” describe capabilities, but those words alone do not prove an exact model fits your use. Some secondary hour displays move in whole hours while sharing the main minutes. That limitation can matter when one zone is half an hour offset from the other.

Ask the seller to demonstrate India and the other intended city simultaneously. Read the operation manual for independently set minutes or a city table that includes the India offset.

A documented digital example

Casio’s AE-1200WH-1AV lists 31 time zones, four-city multi-time and manual daylight-saving switching. Its module manual includes DEL at UTC+5.5. That addresses the India offset at the specification level.

It does not eliminate every travel task. London or New York may change clocks seasonally; verify the date and the watch’s DST setting. Use the converter before setting the second city.
